Our natural state as human beings is to be healthy and happy. Reiki enhances your well-being, promotes healing and deep relaxation on all levels (body, mind and soul) and harmonizes the chakras.
This section guides you, step by step, to learn how to give extra Reiki to specific areas, when experiencing physical disturbances, emotional upsets or any imbalances in the body.
This healing meditation harmonises the heart centre (fourth chakra) and brings you in contact with the love and peace that emanates from the heart.
It is a perfect way either to start or end your day. However you can also do it at times when feeling ill at ease with yourself for some reason, as the low humming sound harmonises your heart centre. You can do this meditation either sitting or lying down.
Sit with your eyes closed and your hands resting in your lap or on your upper legs. Breathe naturally, in and out, and relax.
Make a deep humming sound on each out breath - as long your breath lasts, maintaining the same note all the way through. After five to ten minutes let the humming fade away.
Place your left hand beneath your right armpit and your right hand beneath your left armpit. Focus your attention on your chest area and allow your heart to become calm. You can continue to ‘hum’ if you like but it is not necessary.

Remain for about five to ten minutes in this position, enjoying this feeling.
NOTE: If you like you can use harmonious music to support this mediation but it is not necessary.
